Service with Heart
I have always believed that we are in the Service business. Everything we do is in some way a service to somebody. One of the keys to our success is having the right service attitude. I call it Service with Heart – it is about listening, caring and adopting a positive, empathic, can-do attitude in everything we do.
Let’s be honest: Shit Happens. It doesn’t matter how much you train your staff or check your goods, some days are just Murphy’s Law days. On these days you really need to listen with your heart to sort out the problem.
It’s about connecting and identifying with every customer in order to fully understand and accommodate his/her needs. It’s about building relationships. What comes from the Heart goes to the Heart.
Cool Fact: the Chinese word for ‘listen’ is made up of the characters Ear, You, Eyes, Undivided Attention and Heart. This means that in order to truly listen, you must use your ears, eyes and an open heart, together with your undivided attention.
